1.-Identify the source of the pictures, their authors and year of realization.
2.- How is Cleopatra characterised?
3.- Which city did Cleopatra reside in? Who founded it? Which monument, considered one of the seven wonders, was located there? What center of intellectual activity housed thousands of papyri containing the works of the great classical writers?
4.- Who was the initiator of the Ptolemaic dynasty? Did Cleopatra have Greek blood? Why do you think the Romans derogatorily called her "the Egyptian"?
5.- With whom does the Hellenistic period of Egyptian history begin and with whom does it end?

8.- Cleopatra, who ruled a large and rich country for twenty-two years, was linked by sentimental but also political motives to Caesar and Mark Antony. Throughout history she has been considered an ambitious, deceitful, seductive, and perverse woman. What other adjectives would she deserve to do justice to her trajectory?
Observaciones y contexto
Cleopatra followed a tradition of powerful women from pharaonic Egypt like Nicrotis, Hatshepsut and Nefertiti, and Lagid queens such as Cleopatra II or Berenice III. After her, the Syrians Julia Domna, Julia Maesa, Julia Mamaea and Julia Soaemias, had a great role in the Severa dynasty, and Zenobia, the queen of Palmyra, also faced Rome.
