1.- Write under each monument, dedicated to performances, which kind of building it is and what it was used for.

2.- Which two monuments are a Roman invention? What are the differences between a Greek and a Roman theater regarding the orchestra, where they were built and the stage?
3.- Find out which of the three monuments is still used today and what cultural activity it holds every year. People are requesting that this monument is inscribed as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. What argument would you give UNESCO so that they would accept?

6.- Archeological findings in the ancient Roman city of Emerita Augusta are preserved in the National Museum of Roman Art in Spain. Amongst these findings there are over 500 inscriptions; some of them were public, written in buildings, and others were private, mostly linked to funerary practices. We are going to learn about Julia Saturnina's inscription. She was a physician from Emerita who lived in the 1st century AD.&nbsp;

Observacions i context

In Rome, we know, by the testimonies of authors, many female physicians who also wrote treatises; this is the case of Elephantis, Lais, Olympias of Thebes, Antiochis and Metrodora. Among the women who wrote about gynaecology and obstetrics, the texts of Cleopatra and Aspasia were the most important until the work of Trocta in the 11th century.

Epigraphic testimonies also speak of Primilla, Empiria, Venuleia Sosis, who appear as medici; Salustia Ateneis, as obstetrix; Naevia Clara, as medicaphilologa, and Aurelia Alexandra Zozima, "for her medical knowledge".

Funerary inscriptions show Metilia Donata in Lugdunum, Asyllia Polla in Carthago, Naevia Clara in Rome, Scantia Redempta in Capua and Julia Saturnina in Emerita Augusta.

Identifying the venues for public events in Emerita Augusta, what they were used for and their main parts. Classifying, according to their typology, other buildings and public works that support the importance of this city, as well as highlighting the amount of inscriptions found in them, amongst which was the funerary inscription of Julia Saturnina.
